The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is asking its customers to reduce payment times according to reports in the Taiwanese media. The change comes as the fab continues to expand its chip manufacturing facilities in Taiwan and globally. TSMC is currently shifting gears to mass produce semiconductors on the advanced 3-nanometer (nm) manufacturing process, and at the same time, it is building a new facility in the United States and progressing towards next generation plants to manufacture technologies such as 2nm....

Unfortunately, the PC port of Uncharted 4 within the Legacy of Thieves Collection doesn’t support ray tracing, but artist ‘Digital Dreams’ has now released a new video showing off Naughty Dog’s PC port complete with his own custom version of Pascal Glitcher’s RTGI preset which adds global illumination to the title. The video has the game running in 8K resolution at 60 frames per second with Otis_Inf’s new camera mod for the Legacy of Thieves collection....

As reported by The Verge, the update is currently available to insiders, and will soon become available for all Xbox Series owners. According to Microsoft’s Xbox Integrated Marketing director, Josh Munsee, the team has created a shorter boot-up animation in the Energy Saving mode to reduce overall startup time. As part of the ongoing tussle at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about Space Exploration Technologies Corporation’s (SpaceX) Starlink small satellite low Earth orbit constellation, satellite internet provider Viasat has argued that statements made by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) merit the FCC opening an environmental review for SpaceX’s satellite service. Starlink and Viasat are currently at odds over whether the Commission should approve the former’s request to allow SpaceX to use its new rocket currently under development at the company’s facilities in Boca Chica, Texas to launch the spacecraft, and Viasat has taken this opportunity to raise concerns about the internet constellation’s impacts on the night sky through light pollution....

The United Launch Alliance’s Delta IV Heavy rocket took to the skies from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in the evening Eastern Time yesterday. The Delta IV Heavy is ULA’s heavy lift launch vehicle, which is America’s only rocket that has been rated at delivering payloads greater than 20 tons to low Earth orbit (LEO). As part of its complex launch sequence, the rocket’s base sets itself on fire moments before liftoff, and the rocket has been in service since 2004 with a successful launch cadence of 14 launches and only a partial failure on the first launch....

As spotted by VGC, the ad has a white version of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X on display right next to a PlayStation 5. Since Microsoft has only released its console in black (aside from limited and special editions), this could be interesting as a white Xbox Series X hasn’t been announced just yet. It’s possible that this white edition was solely created for Logitech’s ad, but as most Xbox fans will know, Microsoft has a history of releasing its consoles in both white and black versions....
