It’s the very reason why we’re here today. So, the three Resident Evil titles got these visual updates on PC. But Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, in particular, thanks to a modder, ALSO got a sort-of second graphical update. This mod is a bit of a hefty one, at a 22GB install size, but what it does kind of justifies that size. So, anyways, onto the topic of this mod. For a bit of context, in Resident Evil 7’s new graphics update, 1,497 textures are in either 1K or 2K resolution at base (being, just installing the update)....

The crew has just published a first-look teaser trailer on YouTube, explaining that they’ve had the graphics card for a while now. More interestingly, the brief video gives us early third-party estimates on the performance that can be expected with the new hardware and software advancements. Cyberpunk 2077 (which will soon receive a boosted Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode via free update) was shown to be running on an Intel Core i9 12900K CPU and the GeForce RTX 4090 (presumably an NVIDIA Founder’s Edition)....

Well, Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors recently addressed investors, and he didn’t seem thrilled with the Saints Row reception (thanks to Axios’ Stephen Totilo for transcribing the comments). “Personally I had hoped for a greater reception of the game. It’s been a very polarized view. There is a lot of things that could be said and details around it. I’m happy to see a lot of gamers and fans happy. At the same time I’m a bit sad to see also fans not happy....

The video, which has been released online by ElAnalistaDeBits, confirms how the game runs at 4K resolution on both PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5, and at 1080p on PlayStation 4. The video also highlights how the game seems well optimized on all platforms, running decently on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. The PC and PlayStation 5 versions obviously come out on top, featuring better shadows, although with visual glitches on PlayStation 5, and better antialiasing....

As reported on the LeaksAndRumors subreddit, Konami recently updated several of its trademarks, including the Silent Hill trademark. Interestingly enough, the trademark now mentions virtual reality headsets, meaning that future entries in the series could be VR games as well. The fact that Konami has updated the Silent Hill trademark doesn’t mean that new games will be coming in the future. Still, it definitely suggests that something is happening for the series, also considering we have heard in the past few months that Konami may be planning to revive some of its series with remakes....

The game will be released on PC (Steam) this Summer, with a next-gen console version coming up later this year. Sker Ritual is labeled as a spiritual successor to Maid of Sker, though that was a single player only game. When the game launched nearly two years ago, it earned a 7.3/10 score here on Wccftech. In Wccftech’s review, Francesco rated the game 8 out of 10 after largely enjoying the experience. So, is Sonic Frontiers the game that breaks the almost constant disappointment fans must go through? It definitely is, in my opinion. While the experience is far from perfect, the game’s direction is a solid foundation upon which Sonic Team can build the future of the series. I sincerely hope that this time around, the developer doesn’t discard this new direction and actually uses it as the basis for the future of the Sonic the Hedgehog series....

The new trailer, which had apparently gone live sooner than scheduled but was later reuploaded on YouTube by ShayRSynergy, showcases the game’s combat mechanics, which are unlike anything we have seen in the series so far, and they have the potential of being extremely fun. The fun will only be at the beginning when Sonic Frontiers launches next month on PC and consoles, as additional content will be introduced to the game via DLC a few days after release....

Unfortunately, if you want to go into Sonic Frontiers fresh, you’re going to want to set your spoiler defenses to high. The Switch version of the game has leaked and people have already begun streaming it and leaking info about the game. We’re not going to share any of the leaked details here, just warn you to stay alert. Of course, if you don’t care about spoilers, well, have at it I suppose....

Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) has extended the ground testing timeline for its Starship next generation rocket. SpaceX is currently testing Starship in its facilities in Boca Chica, and as part of these tests, the firm has rolled out the rocket’s Booster 7 prototype to the orbital launch pad. This is the latest prototype from SpaceX and it is one of the first that has seen its engines being tested on the launch pad as well....

A Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) rocket provided breathtaking visuals as it soared through the sky to deliver the company’s latest batch of Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit (LEO). SpaceX launched the spacecraft in the morning yesterday Eastern time from the Space Force’s Cape Canaveral launch base, and the company continued its strong streak of reusing rocket boosters. Visuals of the rocket launch captured by SpaceX’s cameras showed a vapor cone forming around the rocket’s first stage as it jetted through the sky to build the company’s internet satellite constellation that will be populated by tens of thousands of satellites upon completion....

Pagliarulo didn’t make any specific revelations, as you would expect in an official developer profile. Still, he did fuel the hype machine when he said that Starfield covers much new ground and has turned into something really special that will blow people’s minds. There aren’t too many concrete details on Starfield, but we’ll recap what we know here. It’s set in 2330, in a relatively small pocket of the Milky Way called The Settled Systems....

Late last month, Funkyzeit Games shared on YouTube a gameplay video for their Mario fanmade game, a dark recreation of the Super Mario series powered by the Unreal Engine 5 and its features. On March 8th, at 5:00 PM PST, the team at EVO will be revealing all of the major titles happening at the tournament this coming August. Some of the games you could safely expect are Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Tekken 7, and Guilty Gear Strive. But the good news isn’t all this announcement was.
